Case Studies
Action research case studies on neighbourhood anti-poverty work, activist learning and popular education are a central component of the APCOL project. They allow detailed understanding of local action, group and individual experiences, and facilitate learning and capacity building through sustained grassroots activity.
The APCOL project includes eight individual case studies.
Each APCOL case study is co-designed by community and academic co-leaders to run for one year intensively. Funding is provided directly to grassroots organizations who together with student researchers and academic become trained in research in the course of developing initiatives.
